Whether you have been to Las Vegas or not, there is something incredibly appealing about The City of Lights.
A few days ago I was asked by Vegas.com to come up with a Las Vegas-inspired outfit that I would wear to one of the resorts.
I'm a romantic at heart, so it didn't come as a surprise that the Bellagio caught my eye. With its elegant structure, Italian-style interior, Fine Art gallery currently stocked with Picasso's works, and fountains that dance to the tunes of popular music, every inch of it entices you to step inside.
But despite all the things Bellagio has to offer, I would probably make a beeline straight towards their Mediterraneanesque swimming pools.
I've always had this daydream of lazily sprawling on a chaise lounge with a glass of wine in one hand and a travel magazine in the other.
Oh, and a plate of Jean-Philippe Pâtisserie chocolate on the side table. Lots of it.
One of the main things about Las Vegas is that it's located in the Mojave Desert. In other words, it's going to be hot when you get there. Be sure to bring a pair of sunglasses, a hat, and plenty of sunscreen along with your outfit.
Unless you're planning to get a tan, swap your swimsuit for a free-flowing dress instead. This high low dress from Cotton On is cinched at the waist, but loose enough to breath in. Perfect for lunching at the Pool Café or taking in the scenery on a comfortable chair.
If you want to add a touch of mystery, try adding a kimono jacket to the mix. I've had this flower-print one from Sans Souci for about a year, and I'm absolutely in love with it. The fringe is very bohemian and the material is cool and light.
You can never go wrong with at least one accessory. This gold disk necklace I purchased from TJ Maxx has a delicate chain that won't distract the eye from the rest of your outfit.
Where would you go if you had the chance to go to Las Vegas? Let me know in the comments below!

Outfit: Cotton On high low dress, Sans Souci kimono jacket (similar one here), gold navigation disk necklace (similar one here).
Please Note: I have not been to Bellagio and this post is purely hypothetical. The decision to chose this hotel came about after I read its description and what it had to offer.
