I wracked my brain these past couple of days, trying to think of what I would pack to the capital of fashion. Everyone knows of the heart-stopping, gorgeous designs that breeze through Milan, Italy every year during Fashion Week. But then it hit me.
Trends come and go, but I feel more beautiful dressed in clothing that reflects the city’s heart. In Milan, its neoclassical architecture dating back to the 1700’s has enveloped its onlookers with its quiet elegance, and other buildings, such as the Milan Cathedral, never cease to amaze. If I ever have the chance to visit Milan, you’d be sure to find me sipping a coffee by the Naviglio Grande in a white dress or strolling past the Arci della Pace, the lines of my skirt spilling to the floor.
For Farfetch’s Getaway competition, I have compiled a wish list of their dreamiest items for the modern lady jetsetter to include in her suitcase:

For Farfetch’s Getaway competition, I have compiled a wish list of their dreamiest items for the modern lady jetsetter to include in her suitcase:
1. Lost & Found Ria Dunn buttoned cardi-coat
Milan tends to warm up during the summer months, calling all tourists and locals alike to toss their heavy coats aside and don light sweaters instead. This cardi-coat by Lost and Found ($976.62) would transform any skirt or dress from something short and tight to flowing and romantic.
3. Cédric Charlier pleated midi skirt
The sleek, vertical lines apparent in buildings, such as San Carlo al Corso, can also be seen in this skirt by Cédric Charlier ($556.00).
2. Oscar De La Renta embroidered pumps
These heels by Oscar de la Renta ($714.00) aren't exactly practical when touring the city. But you can never tell where you'll end up, especially if you happen to find yourself watching a performance at Teatro alla Scala.
4. Dionea Orcini 18k Gold Emerald Double Semiramis Ring
I don't bring too much jewelry when I travel, but I would make an exception for the uniform arches of Dionea Orcini ($12,140.95).
5. Emannuelle Junqueira v-neck long party dress
No matter where you go, it's always best to be prepared. It's never fun realizing you're the most underdressed person in the room, which is why I always sneak in an elegant dress at the back of my suitcase, like this party-ready v-neck by Emannuelle Junqueira ($1,613.40).
